Miramar Air Show, September 30 – October 2.  Admission, parking and blanket seating are FREE. Blanket seating means an open paved area where you may stand or sit on blankets or lawn chairs. Saturday, October 1

Octoberfest anyone?  There are a few different Octoberfest celebrations going on this weekend in San Diego.

The Carlsbad Rotary Club is hosting Octoberfest at the Holiday Park from noon to 10 p.m.  There will be pumpkin decorating contests, obstacle courses, face painting, animal balloons, a magician, and live music.  For more information on Carlsbad Octoberfest click here.

 

La Mesa Octoberfest will be held starting September 30 and run through October 2.  There are over 400 booths, 2 beer gardens, delicious food, live music and carnival rides.  For more information on La Mesa Octoberfest click here.

 

El Cajon Octoberfest will be held starting September 30 and run through October 2.  Come out and see some traditional folk dancing performances, compete in games and contests, check out vendors and craft booths, and treat your kids the Kids’ Zone they will love it.  For more information on El Cajon Octoberfest click here.

Sunday, October 2

Free Family Art Day, Oceanside Museum of Art.  The Oceanside Art museum is a wonderful place to take the entire family, and it is FREE!  Kids and parents can also participate in making art.  Healthy refreshments will be served, for more information click here for the event website.

Carlsbad Restaurant Row Grand Opening.  Face painting and balloons for the kids, Steel Drum band from noon to 4, and Light Jazz from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  There are tons of giveaways including gift cards to P.F. Chang’s, BJ’s, King’s Fish House, Corner Bakery, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and from Pretty Please Fashion.  The even runs from Saturday October 1 to Sunday October 2, stop by for the grand opening!
