Saturday, February 11
Fan Fest @ Petco Park – This is such a fun and FREE event if you have never been I would highly recommend it. This is fun for the Padre lovers out there, you will be able to run the bases, pitch in the bullpen and catch pop flies on the field just like the pros! There are behind the scene tours of Petco Park including a walk though the Padres Clubhouse. There is also an autograph and Q&A session with the Padres players, coaches, and alumni. Crafts for Kids @ Lakeshore Learning – Every Saturday Lakeshore Learning hosts free crafts for kids from 11-3. The craft this week is especially cute called Be Mine Valentine. It is a cute heart-shaped mailbox for the kids to receive their Valentine’s in. For more information and to receive 20% off any purchase go to Lakeshore Learning’s website here.
Family Open Studios @ William D. Cannon Art Gallery (Carlsbad) – Family Open Studios are free art-making workshops for the whole family. Visit the gallery and create works of art in the courtyard (suited for all age levels) and then take the finished project home. The fun starts at 11-2, no reservations are required, and all materials and workspace will be provided free of charge. Puppy Love 5K Run/Walk in Solana Beach – Run or walk and spend time in the wagging wellness village and enjoy free samples for you and your dog. Enter your dog in the ‘Furry Valentine’ costume contest or exercise with your best friend in the Doga Yoga class. This event is from 7 AM – 12 PM at Via de la Valle & Coast Hwy 101 in Solana Beach, for more information click here.
Children’s Museum in San Diego – Free every second Sunday of the month the New Children’s Museum is a great place for kids of all ages. There is also a fun do it yourself Valentine project to create a special card for someone you love. The museum has extended the hours on Sunday to 10 AM – 4 PM, for more information click here.
