Almost every museum in San Diego is free at least once during the month. Another amazing thing about living here is we get to take advantage of these great museums without having to spend any money!
The first Tuesday of the month the following museums are free:
- Ruben H. Fleet Science Center
- San Diego Model Railroad Museum
- San Diego Natural History Museum
- San Diego Botanical Garden (Encinitas)
- California Surf Museum (Oceanside)
The second Tuesday of the month the following museums are free:
- The Museum of Photographic Arts
- The Museum of San Diego History
- The Veteran’s Museum and Memorial Center
- The California Surf Museum (Oceanside)
The third Tuesday the following museums are free:
- San Diego Art Institute
- Mingei International Museum
- San Diego Museum of Art
- San Diego Museum of Man
- Japanese Friendship Garden
The fourth Tuesday the following museums are free:
- California Surf Museum (Oceanside)
Museums in Balboa Park
- San Diego Air & Space Museum
- San Diego Automotive Museum
- San Diego Hall of Champions (Sports)
