VG’s donuts brings me back to my childhood… we used to go all the time. My grandparents, my parents, and my aunts and uncles used to take us. My grandparents lived just up the street in Cardiff and VG’s donuts are the best donuts in San Diego! It is finally that time of year again…. baseball season is upon us! I love my San Diego Padres, I love this city, and love going down to the ballpark with friends. This deal is pretty incredible… for only $37 you will receive two tickets (lower right field level) two hotdogs, two sodas AND two hats. The last few moments on The Home Shopping Network for my Philadelphia Cooking Creme House Party might have been the best. We all had an incredible time, we enjoyed the food and I was finally ready for a glass of wine. As chef Todd English was saying good bye to all of us, my beautiful friend Lauren decided to kiss our beautiful friend Marsha. This kiss was on the cheek however we were on live TV… A producer from HSN called the producer who was at my house and told her there was a major problem. Apparently my producer didn’t see the kiss and was shocked when she heard about it. She yelled out… “was there a kiss on air?” Lauren looked like a deer caught in the headlights… I wish I had a picture of that moment! Everything worked out just fine but it will always be know as “THE KISS” in my house! Enjoy the last few pictures of the night coming to an end, as far as on the air that is. I don’t think my friends ended up leaving until 1 AM!

The second dish we made live via Skype on The Home Shopping Network was Todd English’s Santa Fe Nachos. We had a few problems with our nachos because we didn’t know how long to microwave the cheese. The recipe asks for 4 cups of shredded monterey jack cheese, I used a combo of Mexican cheeses, I believe this was my first mistake! Then you add the tub of PHILADELPHIA Santa Fe Blend Cooking Creme and mix them together. The mixing was really no help and my cheese looked like a blob of cheese, when they shot me poring my cheese they panned away. As you can see in the pictures below my mother (yes, my own mother) was laughing because she knew it wasn’t going to look the way it should. My friend Lynn (see pictures below) was very interested in how exactly I poured the chili on the chips along with the black beans. Lynn seemed very impressed with my ability to pour things over chips and for that I thank her!
