Giveaway – Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is back in San Diego with an all new show – Rockin’ Ever After! It is all your favorite characters from BRAVE, Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast all put to life in an ice skating musical show.

From Brave the royal contenders will compete to win the heart of the sharp-shooting Merida, this is her first time in a Disney on Ice production, you do not want to miss it! Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled will be singing and dancing away from some harmless hooligans and Sebastian and Ariel from The Little Mermaid will amaze and delight you with their musical talents. In the final number from Beauty and the Beast, the beautiful Belle will be in the Beast’s castle and don’t forget Mrs. Potts, and little chip. Disney on Ice is only in San Diego for a short time, opening night is Wednesday, January 22nd at 7 pm. Thursday and Friday show times are at 7:00 p.m. as well. Saturday, January 25th there will be performances at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26th the show times are at 11:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. (*please note this is a spanish performance) and the final show is at 7:00 p.m.

Ticket prices range from as low as $10 opening night only (not valid on VIP/Front Row seating) $17, $25, and super VIP tickets $45 and front row at $65. The performance Rockin’ Ever After is held at the Valley View Casino Center (previoustly the San Diego Sports Arena) located at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd. San Diego, CA 92110. >All seats are reserved; tickets are available for purchase online at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or in-person at the Valley View Casino Center Box Office.

Renaissance Sports Club & Hotel Fun events for Kids

Renaissance Sports Club & Hotel is located in Aliso Viejo and is beautiful! As soon as you pull into the driveway there is a gorgeous water fountain that is two stories high! From there you drive down to the entrance where you are greeted by the valet parking attendants. Then you are welcomed into the colorful and fun reception area.

snaav_hotelphotos When we visited it was Christmas time and everything was beautifully decorated with silver and white decorations. We were invited to Breakfast with Santa, and the kids loved it! The food was delicious, pancakes, eggs, bacon, hot and cold cereal, yummy pastries and Starbucks coffee for the parents! It was perfect there wasn’t a long line to see Santa, the kids just walked right up and were able to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. There were also fun activity booklets given to the children and crayons on the tables for the children to play with.

Renaissance also has a wonderful Kids World for children ages six weeks to 12 years old. If you are a Club Sports member you receive three-hours of free childcare in Kids World, if you are staying at the hotel there is a small fee. Kids World isn’t just a place to drop your kid off while you work-out it is a fun place for kids to explore, learn and play! We are excited for the upcoming events being held at Renaissance Sports Club & Hotel and I know you will be too!

We love the Cohn Restaurant group… The Melting Pot, 333 Pacific, The Prado, Vintana, Indigo Grill, Gaslamp Strip Club, 100 Wines Kitchen and many more! Reasons we love them…things like a New Years/Anniversary special like this! A three-course meal at any of the above restaurants for only $20.14 per person.

At the Melting Pot this includes cheese fondue for the first-course, a salad for the second-course and the most delicious chocolate fondue for dessert. All of the most delicious parts of the meal and only $20.14, generally it is double the price!

This great special is available for only a week starting on Thursday, January 2nd to Thursday, January 9th. The price does not include tax or gratuity.

Breakfast with Santa @ Renaissance Sports Club!

SoCal Savvy Mom is excited to invite you to join us at Breakfast with Santa next Saturday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m. or on Sunday, December 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Aliso Viejo Renaissance Sports Club! Bring your camera to snap pictures of your little one with Santa, and of course any letters they want to give to Santa. Breakfast will be the traditional faire with a few extras for the little ones. You will not want to miss this fun event!

Holiday events in San Diego December 7-8, 2013

Saturday, December 7

Holiday Parade @ Encinitas – Thousands of people will be on floats and in bands with tens of thousands more cheering them on as the 2013 Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along Coast Highway 101. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. and it is preceded by a 5:00 p.m. tree lighting ceremony a the Lumberyard (near Starbucks coffee). For more information click here.

Santa by the Sea @ L’Auberge Del Mar – The Del Mar Association and L’Auberge invite you to join them for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in the amphitheater at 5 p.m. Directly after the tree lighting will be a special screening of the movie Elf. Bring your own camera for pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and your little ones, and enjoy the music by the Original Dickens Carolers. Other hightlights of the night are a Holiday Photo Booth, Snow, Holiday Cookie Tasting, Hot Cocoa, Cake Walk, Dance Performance, Hot Cocoa, Passport to the North Pole, Special Prizes, and Letters to Santa. Holiday Open House @ Cedros Avenue – Support your local community and shop close to home this year! Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival @ La Jolla – The parade begins at 2 p.m. and the Holiday Festival will begin at 3:30 p.m., photos with Santa will be held at the Recreation Center at 3:30 pm. as well. The day comes to a close with the Christmas Tree Lighting at 4:30 pm.

Parade of Lights @ San Diego Bay – The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is held two consecutive Sundays each year in December. The Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. and proceeds from Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and Ferry Landing in Coronado.
