Weezer at the Del Mar Race Track, if you are already planning on going to the track this Saturday stay after for a great concert!  There is no extra charge for this concert and tickets to enter the races are as low as $4.  How great is that!  Weezer for only $4!  For more information on this event click here.

Legoland Water Park Cabana Rentals

Legoland Water Park is located in Carlsbad, California and is an amazing place to bring your kids.  We go at least once a week during the summer, and I have to say I enjoy it as much as my 5-year-old does!  A great option if you are planning on spending the day is renting a cabana.  It is great to have a place to sit, relax, and refuel when needed.  Included in the cabana rental is ten beverages (juice, water, & soda) in your own mini-frig, two complimentary towels, a duplo table with bricks for the kids to play with, and a full size family locker rental.  There are only 11 cabana rentals available, if you plan to reserve one you may do so in advance by calling (760) 438-5346.

If you have older children 6 and up I would recommend the cabanas by the Build a Raft River.  The cabanas in that area are Shark, Manta Ray, Parrot and Dolphin.  All of these are great because they are right by the Joker Soaker and you can watch you kids go down the larger water slides as well.  If you have younger children under age 6 reserve a cabana in the Duplo Splash Safari area, the best cabana in this area is Polar Bear.  The Polar Bear cabana is very close to the three water slides for younger children.  If you have toddlers or babies the cabanas Monkey, Tiger, Giraffe, and Elephant are great options because they are right by the Safari Splash Zoo.  If you do not plan to purchase a cabana plan to arrive at the water park when it opens.  This will allow for you to get a chair or chairs near where your children will spend most of his or her day.

Saturday, July 30

San Diego Surf Cup Soccer Tournament at the Del Mar Polo Fields.  Want to see the next US National soccer team?  Come out to the Surf Cup to see the best youth soccer players in the nation!   This weekend is the older kids from ages 15-18 and tons of college coaches will be out scouting.  There is more than soccer at this event, tons of vendors, games and the food is amazing!  This is a free event (there is a charge for parking) for more information click here.

Mercury Insurance Open at The La Costa Resort and Spa, this tennis event starts on July 30 and runs through August 7.  The cost for tickets is $10-60 depending on how close you want to be to the action.  For more information click here.

Del Mar Racetrack at the Del Mar Fair Grounds.  Admission is FREE to children 17 and under and you can purchase an adult ticket as low as $6. Sunday in the infield is a Family Fun Day.  It is very similar to the Del Mar Fair with fun stuff like inflatable games and rides, giant scramble slide & obstacle course, pony rides,  magic shows & GameZone, stilt walkers, face painters, caricature artist,  & more the kids have so much fun!  For more information click here.

Friday, July 22

TGIF Jazz in the Park at Poinsettia Park in Carlsbad.  The concert is a soul/blues band called The Soul of John Black, the concert runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free.  Bring a picnic basket with some snacks and you can even bring your own alcoholic beverages, glass bottles are fine for this event only.  For more information click here.
