Kids Free to San Diego Zoo

Throughout the month of October, kids ages 11 and younger receive free admission (with an adult). They have got a lot of special fun planned for the weekends, so go wild and join in over and over again! Kids Free admission in October 2018 includes the Skyfari Tram Ride – no separate ticket needed! Standard child rider policies apply. Kids can ride the Guided Bus or Kangaroo Bus for $5.
Dr. Zoolittle and Friends Explore Australia Location: Koalafornia Boardwalk Times: Weekends only: Noon and 1 p.m.The San Diego Zoo’s own zany Dr. Zoolittle and his zoo character friends share stories and smiles as they discover the wonderful animals from “Down Under.”Stop by for a show that’s fun for the whole family!

HalGLOWeenTimes: 5 to 8 p.m. on October 26, 27, and 28
Join us for a colorfully creepy celebration October 26 through 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. The Zoo will be all aglow with activities and entertainment: a DJ spinning spooktacular tunes for everyone to dance to among bursts of bubbles, acrobats, jugglers, a cupcake walk, and more. Kids are free for this event, and may wear costumes according to the guidelines posted on the HalGLOWeen website.

Times: Check map for times.A pile of pine shavings to roll in, scents daubed on stumps and stones, container puzzles with food hidden inside, and treat “treasure hunts” are just some of the ways our animal keepers provide enrichment for our zoo animals. The fun for visitors is watching the animals in action! Look for the special items at various exhibits in these Zoo zones, on these dates:
Oct. 6 and 7 – Elephant Odyssey and Northern Frontier
Oct. 13 and 14 – Discovery Outpost and Lost Forest
Oct. 20 and 21 – Outback and Urban Jungle
Oct. 27 and 28 – Panda Canyon, Asian Passage, and Africa Rock
