It is that time of year again to stock up on wine at BevMo!  We love the BevMo 5 cent sale, where else can you buy wine for 5 cents?  The sale will run now until July 9th, remember that some wines will sell out during this sale so it is better to go sooner than later.  Another great thing BevMo does for its customers is online ordering, order online and it will be ready to pick up within the hour.

Pretty as a Pin Up Event @ Fifty Barrels Winery

by

The Pretty as a Pin Up event at Fifty Barrels Winery was so much fun!  So much so that we were sad to leave Fifty Barrels Winery, but I do know we will be back!  The event was hosted by Busy Bee Blogger and Life, Beyond the Bandaids, and presented by Sensa Weight Loss.  As we entered the winery we were given our choice of any glass of wine on the house.  We chose the Fifty Reserve Cabernet, it was so exquisite we ended up purchasing a bottle.  We also enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches with Cook n Shoupe BBQ sauces, not only is the bbq sauce delicious it is gluten-free!

The swag bag was filled with tons of products including a one-month supply of Sensa Weight Loss!  Cari from Busy Bee Blogger started Sensa a couple months ago and has lost over 15 pounds, she looks amazing!  I am starting Sensa today and will give updates about my progress throughout the month.  We also received a full size bottle of lotion from The Body Bartender, and it smells heavenly.  Good Earth was kind enough to include 3 of ‘Overflowing with Pure Pleasure’ tea to enjoy at home.  I love events like these were I can meet other bloggers like Beverly from Flamingo Toes, she has the most adorable crafts.  I also found a winery close to my house, now that could be a good or a bad thing only time will tell.  Can’t wait to try out the tastings on Thursday nights at Fifty Barrels Winery, glasses are only $4! The wine I was drinking last night is usually $8 a glass so it really is an amazing deal for the tastings.  Hope to see you at Fifty Barrels soon!

Carlsbad TGIF Jazz in the Parks Schedule

by

Summer is coming!  It is almost here and with it brings tons of free concerts!  Last year we had a lot of fun going to the Carlsbad Jazz in the Park concerts.  I love that you can pack snacks and wine to enjoy during the concert. The concerts are totally free not even a charge for parking.  I would recommend getting there as early as you can because parking does become an issue. Remember that everyone wants to see the performers, so plan to bring LOW-BACKED chairs only. Shade structures are not allowed except along the back fences of the parks.

There is fun for the kids too!  At the second concert in each park, Art At Jazz offers hands-on visual arts activities for younger TGIF Jazz audience members.   All supplies are provided by the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts, it is held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

There are three different parks the concerts are held at between the end of June and the end of August. The concerts begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.  See the full list below for locations, dates and shows.  For more information click here.
