Oceanside Concerts in the Park, at Rancho Del Oro Park. The event is from 5:30-8 and is sponsored by the City of Oceanside Parks & Recreation Dept. The band featured is Surfin’ Safari a Beach Boys Tribute band, get there early to get a great spot. Elaine Swann Lifestyle & Etiquette Expert, book signing and reading event at E Street Cafe in Encinitas starts at 4 p.m. Elaine uses her extensive knowledge of the etiquette trade to educate young girls, various organizations, universities and individuals throughout the US. Film Festival at Leo Carrillo Ranch Park in Carlsbad. The movies are rare historic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood, featuring Leo Carrillo at the star’s ranch retreat. Bring low back chairs and blankets, available for purchase are popcorn, candy, ice cream and soda. The movies start at 6 p.m., and the movies playing for the next few weeks are: August 26: What’s Cookin? Beach Blanket Movie Night at Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach. Pack a picnic, bring low back chairs and a blanket and enjoy this free family event. This is the 7th annual Beach Blanket Movie Night and there are tons of prizes this year! Leucaida Art Walk on the 101. The event features one mile of talent on HWY 101 between Marcheta and W. Glaucus Streets. This is a great free family event with live music, children’s art activities, wine & beer garden (not free) and a lot of local artists work. There is a free shuttle from the Coaster Station and the Encinitas Civic Center both on Vulcan at D Street. For more information click here.
