Home Shopping Network Segment and Pics of SoCal Savvy Mom

by

The second dish we made live via Skype on The Home Shopping Network was Todd English’s Santa Fe Nachos. We had a few problems with our nachos because we didn’t know how long to microwave the cheese.  The recipe asks for 4 cups of shredded monterey jack cheese, I used a combo of Mexican cheeses, I believe this was my first mistake!  Then you add the tub of PHILADELPHIA Santa Fe Blend Cooking Creme and mix them together.  The mixing was really no help and my cheese looked like a blob of cheese, when they shot me poring my cheese they panned away.  As you can see in the pictures below my mother (yes, my own mother) was laughing because she knew it wasn’t going to look the way it should.  My friend Lynn (see pictures below) was very interested in how exactly I poured the chili on the chips along with the black beans.  Lynn seemed very impressed with my ability to pour things over chips and for that I thank her!

Don’t forget I still have FREE coupons for Philly Cooking Creme and tons of other FREE goodies to give away.  Please e-mail to SoCalSavvyMom@gmail.com with your address.

SoCal Savvy Mom on HSN – Philly Pasta Dish Pictures

by

Last Saturday night I was chosen as one of 4 hosts to be on HSN with chef Todd English for my House Party.  The first dish we made in our GreenPan was Todd English’s Creamy Artichoke Pasta made with Kraft’s new Philadelphia Cooking Creme.  At times it was hard for me to know exactly what to do next because my Skype kept freezing, a few times during the broadcast I look like a frozen Stepford wife.  My beautiful cousin Chelsea was one of the “tasters” along with my fabulous friends Lauren and Robyn.  If you are interested in receiving a free coupon for Kraft’s Philadelphia Cooking Creme please e-mail me at SoCalSavvyMom@gmail.com, I will confirm via e-mail if you are going to receive a free coupon or something more!  There will be more pictures, prizes, and coupons throughout the week so stop by Thursday and Friday to see what we’ll have next!

Saturday night was so many things… I guess I would start with fun, exciting, funny, yummy, and as my friend Robyn said a night we will not soon forget!  My house was clean, decorated, and ready for all of my party guests for my Philadelphia Cooking Creme House Party.  The producer from The Home Shopping Network was the absolute perfect person to send to my house.  She made me feel totally comfortable and all of my nerves about going on the air soon faded away thanks to Candice.  I was cooking with chef Todd English in the GreenPan of his creation.  Below are some of the actual “on-air” shots from the night, stay tuned more to come!

Pizza was a hit! Philly Creme wins!

by

Tonight I made two pizzas with the Philadelphia Cooking Creme … one veggie all with Philly Cooking Creme and one cheese with half Philly Cooking Creme and half with pizza sauce.   The pizza with the veggies was for my husband and myself and the cheese was for our son.  We didn’t know which he would prefer the pizza sauce or the Philly Cooking Creme..  I’ll let the pictures tell you which side won…

Philly Cooking Creme on Pizza!!!

Tonight I’m making the Easy Tomato-Basil Pizza and I am so excited!  At this moment (5:35 pm pst) it is in my oven and my entire family can’t wait to try it!  Rolling out the pizza dough was fun and using the creme was really easy.  I put tomato and basil on half and the other half I used zucchini, green bell peppers and onion.  The finished product pictures will be up soon… stay tuned!
