Enjoy All-Day Fun At Spring Family Fest April 19

Join the online community of moms, expectant parents and families for a day of interaction, education and fun. Club MomMe’s Spring Family Fest, held Sunday, April 19th from 11:30am to 5:00pm at The Muckenthaler Estate & Cultural Center, Fullerton, CA. This all day event will include seven interactive lounges, panel discussions, music, play, and plenty of activities for the whole family.

Start the day with a Media Breakfast from 9:30am-11am where you can get a sneak peak at all of the exhibitors before everyone else! As an add-on to your event ticket and check out the VIP playdate with Lalaloopsy & Thomas The Train from 10:30am – 11:00am at the Children’s Gazebo. Spaces are limited.

Fill the remainder of your day with any of 4 key discussions and panels, from vaccines, to work/life balance, to developmental milestones and play for your little ones. Throughout Spring Fest you’ll also find 8 lounges with the newest and coolest baby and toddler products. Don’t worry dads, you’re invited too! There’s a Daddy Lounge with comfy chairs, beer and munchies, plus fun races and games for all.

Spring Family Fest has it all, from an Activity Area with lots of fun for little ones including an interactive activity play area featuring Little Tikes, Mobo Cruiser, and Combi, plus face painting, balloon artist, Super Soccer Stars play area, crafts, music by Jennifer Paskow & Snooknuk, and many others. There’s also a safe play space for the really little ones by Babyganics and Green Toys. Urban Sitters & The Nanny League will be there to help out!

Marvel Universe LIVE! is coming to San Diego to keep us all safe April 16-19, 2015. The first-ever, arena tour will bring more than 25 Marvel icons like Spider-Man, The Avengers (Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, and my personal favorite the Mighty Thor) together to battle some familiar menacing villains like Loki and Green Goblin the Valley View Casino Center.

Most egg hunts are divided by age so please take note what time you should arrive for your children’s ages. Also don’t forget a basket, most of Easter Egg Hunts do not supply baskets. Plus you will want a photo opportunity with the basket.

Regal Summer Movie Express Starting June 23

Regal movie theaters just announced the list of summer movies for the summer of 2015, the $1 movies will run throughout the summer at select theaters. The movies are all rated PG, and are great for kids of all ages. It is only $1 per person to attend. All of the movies begin at 10 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer.  Every week there are two different movies playing for you to choose from. The start date for movie theaters vary, Regal has just released which theaters will host the Summer Movie Express and when the start dates will be. The start date of June 23rd will be at the following theaters:

Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Dublin, Eastvale, El Cajon (Regal), El Cajon (Edwards), Foothill Ranch, La Habra, Los Angeles, Mission Viejo, San Diego, San Marcos, and South Gate. Click on the city closest to you to see the dates and times in your city.  If you live outside of California please click here for a full list.

Easter Egg Hunts on March 28 & 29, 2015

Campo – The Bunny Trains and associated events run on Saturday, March 28Sunday, March 29, and Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM.  Tickets can be purchased online by clicking the links above or in person the day of the event at the Campo Depot.  Advance reservations are required for this event.

Clairemont – Spring Egg Hunt at the South Clairemont recreation center, on 3/28/15 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, egg hunts begin at 9:30 a.m. and are divided by age group. Enjoy jumpers, arts & crafts, popcorn and punch, for more information click here. (see page 11)

Ocean Beach – Spring Egg Hunt is on March 28th at Robb Field Athletic Area (see page 12)

San Elijo Hills – The BUNNYPALOOZA will begin at 9:30am and run until 11:30 am on 3/28/15. They will have the Egg Hunt at 10:00 am sharp! Please do not be late if you plan on participating.

San Diego – Allied Garden Spring Egg Hunt held on 3/28/15 from 11:00 a.m. to  2:00 p.m. There will be crafts, jumpers, fun for the kids and food available for purchase. The egg hunt times are set by age, at 11:30 a.m. 2 years and younger, at 12:30 p.m. 3 & 4 year olds, children 5 to 7 at 1:00 p.m., and 8 years and older at 1:30 p.m. City of San Diego’s website here.

South Bay –  Spring Egg Hunt will have arts & crafts, raffles, games and prizes. Egg hunt will be dived into age groups. Don’t forget to bring a basket. Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Valley Center – Easter Egg Hunt at Bates Nut Farm will have Easter fun for the whole family! Crafts, games, farm animals, raffles and more! The day starts at 9:30, and the Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:30. Pony rides will be available for a small charge from 9:30 – 12:00. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures throughout the day.

Vista – The Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake breakfast  will be on Sunday, March 29th. Tickets for the event are only $5, for $5 you will receive the delicious pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon as well as the Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10 a.m. with over 10,000 eggs~! The event is for children 11 years old and younger, don’t forget to bring your baskets or a bag with you. The Vista Optimist Club is located at 600 Optimist Way, Vista, CA, more information may be found on their website here.

Kids Day at the Carlsbad Flower Fields

Join SoCal Savvy Mom at the Carlsbad Flower Fields for Kid’s Day! It is a day full of fun activities for kids, including arts and crafts, face painting and Ronald McDonald! There also is a Sweet Pea Maze, Santa’s Playground and live music.

In addition, Star Theatre Company’s Academy Show Choirs will perform live. They will feature some of the most popular songs of the year. You won’t be able to keep from clapping to Pharrell Williams “Happy”, Frozen’s “Love is an Open Door and “What Does the Fox Say?”

Flower Fields Carlsbad

The above picture is from a few years ago my son, niece and some friends children on the wagon ride, which is an additional charge but it is very worth it, the kids loved it. There are more fun things for kids to enjoy like the Sweet Pea Maze, which my mother-in-law and I got lost in but my son found his way out within a minute. Don’t miss out on the fun Kids Day on March 29th, 2015. The Kid’s Day at The Flower Fields is a day full of fun activities for kids, including arts and crafts, face painting and Ronald McDonald, Santa’s Playground and live music.
