Oceanside Fireworks July 3 @ 9 pm~!

The City of Oceanside is inviting you to come out and celebrate the city being incorporated for 125 years!

The public is invited to the City of Oceanside’s 125th Anniversary Fireworks Show today July 3, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Fireworks will be shot off just north of the El Corazon Senior Center, located at 3302 Senior Center Drive at 9 pm.  Rancho Del Oro Road will be closed just north of Oceanside Blvd. at Seagate and just south of Mesa Drive at Ocean Ranch Boulevard. This is the recommended and best viewing site for the Fireworks. Jazz in the Park @ Stagecoach Park Carlsbad – This is a fun and free concert and the start of the series that runs throughout the summer at different parks in Carlsbad.  We love to bring some snacks, a bottle of wine and just sit back and relax.  Bring low-back chairs, a blanket, snacks, and drinks if so desired.  Glass is allowed at these events ONLY, wine and beer bottles are okay to bring, they do ask that you recycle.  For more information click here.

Summer Movie in the Park @ Fallbrook Community Center – Summer movies in the park is a fun and free family event that runs all summer in different cities.  The movie tonight is Ice Age 3 and will begin about 15 minutes after dusk, some movies are subject to change.  The most up-to-date information can be found on the Summer Movies in the Park – San Diego Facebook page, enjoy!

Saturday, June 29

Oceanside Independence Day Parade @ Downtown Oceanside – Come see floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars and much more. The parade starts in front of the 101 Cafe (Coast Highway at Wisconsin Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. and works its way north with the first unit of the parade reaching City Hall around 10:15 a.m. Viewing of the parade is available from the sidewalks along the entire route, bring folding chairs as the running time is about two hours.  The highest concentration of viewers will be on the north end of the route past Seagaze Avenue. Sun & Sea Festival @ Imperial Beach – The festival will be held June 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Portwood Pier Plaza and will include art kids can take home, music by the School of Rock house band.  Don’t for get fun for the kids!  You and the kids will not want to miss the circus acts and lessons will be offered to teach kids how to cross tight ropes, walk on balls and other acrobatic skills. For more information click here.

Light up your Fourth of July holiday at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.  Join in for a traditional BBQ dinner, live music, and a private fireworks display, along with endless activities for the kids.  Please note you must be a guest at the resort or have dinner at one of the restaurants to be able to be included in the activities.  There is however no charge to watch the fireworks around the lagoon as many of us like to do.  The fireworks begin at 9 PM, and can be seen (depending on weather) from all over La Costa / Aviara.

Carlsbad @ Legoland – The annual Red, white and BOOM! at Legoland California is a fun-filled day for the entire family.  You and your kids can enjoy live musical performances, family picnic games, like water-balloon tosses, burlap sack races and Uncle Sam Says.  The Firework show begins at 8:30 PM, earlier than most because they know kids need to go to bed!  For more information click here.

Del Mar @ Del Mar Fairgrounds – The fireworks at the Del Mar Fairgrounds is always incredible, I love that you can sit on the beach and enjoy the fireworks.  The fairgrounds have a full line up of things to do on Independence Day including a Home Town Heros Parade at 7 PM.  The Firework show begins at 9 PM, the fair is open until midnight so you can still enjoy some rides after the fireworks if you wish.  For more information click here.

Escondido @ Grape Park – Enjoy a variety of free entertainment, including musical performances, magicians, baton twirlers, children’s arts projects, old-fashioned contests and fireworks!  The fun begins at 4 PM, and ending after the firework show at 9:30 PM.  The Firework show begins at 9 PM, for more information click here.

Fallbrook @ Grand Tradition Estates – Fallbrook’s 9th annual July 4th celebration is now at a much lower price!  Last year the price was closer to $40 for adult and it was $12 for children, now it is only $22 for adults and children 11 and under are FREE.  Included is admission, parking, live entertainment, and of course the fireworks!  The Firework show beings at 9 PM, for more information click here.

Big Bay Boom @ Shelter & Harbor Island, Embarcadero, Seaport Village & Coronado Landing – As most of you remember last year was the big bay bust, with all of the fireworks going off within 9 seconds! The second concert at each park has fun things for kids to do as well, it is called Art at Jazz.  Art At Jazz offers hands-on visual arts activities for younger TGIF Jazz audience members. Instructors and volunteers guide the children as they make works of art in planned activities.
