Club MomMe Spring Family Fest – 6/7/14

by

This Saturday June 7th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. is Club MomMe’s Spring Family Fest.  Family Fest is THE Premier event for Southern California Families.  SoCal Savvy Mom is so excited to attend, and I’m bringing my husband and baby to enjoy all there is to offer.  There is something for the whole family at Club MomMe Spring Fest.  There is a daddy lounge, with a daddy panel, musical performances for the kids, and the moms get to check out all the latest and greatest products on the market.

The panel I’m looking forward to the most has to be celebrity guest Dr. Harvey Karp, the author of The Happiest Baby on the Block.  Don’t miss him from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dr. Karp believes there is a “calming reflex” that causes babies to instantly relax when they are given clues that they are safe inside the womb.  Another favorite not to miss is the hilarious Jenni Pulos of Bravos Flipping Out and her “rapping” album Old School Beats.

The best part of the day and what Club MomMe is known for is sharing the NEWEST, COOLEST & HOTTEST Baby & Toddler Products on the market! From the latest stroller trends, toys, educational products, gear to make life easier as a parent, state-of-the-art technology, amazing innovations and more!  Check out the latest Baby & Toddler Products and Gear + WIN them!  They GIVE AWAY almost all featured products at the end of the talk!!  YES, that means FREE toys, baby/toddler gear and much more that you may win.

Club MomMe gets the hottest NEW products and are sharing them first with you! Find out what new products are worth checking out and will make your life easier.

Join SoCal Savvy Mom and tons of new families for Club MomMe’s Spring Family Fest!  Spring Fest is great for parents, expectant parents and families with young children filled with the most popular speakers and amazing panels designed just for you and your family. Not to mention fun activities for the kids to enjoy!  It is not too late to purchase your tickets, click here to buy your tickets, we look forward to seeing you there!

Sun, Surf, Summer & Sunscreen

Is that summer knocking at our door? Finally SUMMER is almost here!  Whole Foods knows we all need to stock up on all our skin care needs before the heat waves hit us!  This weekend our local Whole Foods Markets will be having a HUGE sale on products you need.

orion cabo nicOur family is a beach family true and true.  Last weekend we spent both Saturday and Sunday at the beach soaking in the beautiful SoCal sun.  Of course my son was head to toe (no joke) in Burn Out Kids Sunscreen SPF 30.  There are a few reasons I like Burn Out Kids Sunscreen, the first reason is because my son doesn’t put up a big fight every time I try to put it on him.  My son also has very sensitive skin and it is not only chemical-free, petroleum-free, PABA-free but it is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, and non-greasy.
burn out

In the past he has hated putting on any type of sunscreen, but he doesn’t mind Burn Out at all.  The reason it works well for our family is because even after a full day at the beach I know my little boy will be completely covered.  My husband uses Think Sport SPF 50+ Sunscreen and the number one reason he uses it is because it stays on even during long surf sessions.  I worry about him having bad effects from the sun that could harm him, which is why I always remind him to use Think Sport when he goes surfing.

As a woman over 30 (just barely) I take my skin care very seriously.  My grandmother was a model her entire life and she always told me use moisturizer, sunscreen, then use moisturizer again.  Those are words I live by!  Did you know the American Academy of Dermatology recommends that everyone, yes EVERYONE wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protective factor of at least 30.  Which is why I use a 30 SPF everyday on my face, as well as my body when in the sun.  My favorite sunscreens are any product by Alba Botanica, there is everything from sunscreen to their Very Emollient after-sun care to self-tanners.  Why I love Alba Botanica products are because they are water-resistant, paraben free and fragrance free.  It is also lightweight and made with sunflower seed oils and aloe vera which soften and moisturize your skin while protecting from the sun.

Stop by your local Whole Foods Market this weekend for major savings on all of your favorite sun care products.  To find a Whole Foods Market closest to you click here.

This is a sponsored post, all opinions are completely my own based on my experience with the products mentioned above.
