Fun Things to do This Weekend – Carlsbad Street Faire!

I love fall, I love the change of the season, the cold morning air, I love it all!  There are tons of fun events going on this weekend so many I had to tell you all about them including the Carlsbad Street Faire which is the biggest one  day street faire in the nation!

Friday, November 2

Dia de los Muertos – Commemorate “Day of the Dead” by touring the museums and shops within Old Town San Diego, most have dramatic and festive Day of the Dead altars.  Folklorico dancers and live performances celebrating this traditional Mexican holiday will be featured on the Fiesta de Reyes stage.  For more information click here.

Saturday, November 3

Oceanside Heritage Day –  The Oceanside Heritage Day is from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a fundraising event to help support family-focused recreational opportunities in Oceanside. This fun event will be held at Heritage Park and Museum, located at 220 Peyri Road in Oceanside and will feature fun, family friendly music.

Sunday, November 4

Carlsbad Street Faire – The largest one day street faire is upon us again!  Sunday only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. stop by the The Village in Carlsbad for over 700 different vendors.  Fun for the kids include face painting, bounce houses, games, rides, and much more!  Try and get there early as they are expecting over 100,000 people this year.  For more information click here.

Fall Back Festival The Children’s Historical and Cultural Street Faire  – Bring the kids because they are going to love it as you take a step back in time at the 12th Annual Fall Back Festival: the Children’s Historical and Cultural Street Faire in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter.  This year’s fun-filled festivities will take place from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in front of the Gaslamp Museum at 4th and Island Avenues.

San Marcos Alive Artwalk – This year’s free art celebration features a chalk art competition and demonstration by amateur chalk artist, Saul “Picasso” Figueroa. Other activities include a craft fair, fine art exhibits, a student art show, art demonstrations, a community mural painting project, and hands-on crafting.
